We are an interdisciplinary group of independent providers with a wide range of expertise in neuropsychological and educational issues.
Dr. Cheryl Ambler is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric and adult neuropsychology. Her interests include developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, pediatric brain tumor, neuropsychological sequelae of medical disorders, and neurocognitive impairments. Dr. Ambler completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto and post-doctoral fellowship at McCauley Neuropsychiatric Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco.
Dr. Cheryl Ambler has worked at the Children's Health Council in Palo Alto, McCauley Neuropsychiatric Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, Eastfield Ming Quong in Campbell, and Community Counseling and Education Center in Fremont.
Dr. Cheryl Ambler is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford School of Medicine.
Dr. Christian Ambler is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric and adult neuropsychology. His interests include learning difficulties, executive dysfunction, developmental disabilities, brain injury, and neuropsychological sequelae of medical and neurodevelopmental disorders. Christian Ambler completed his predoctoral internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship at the Children’s Health Council.
Dr. Christian Ambler has worked in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, Monterey Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Children's Health Council, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.
Dr. Christian Ambler is also on staff as a neuropsychologist at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in the H.E.A.L. Program, and provides neuropsychological evaluations in research studies at Stanford Medical Center.
Dr. Nancy Sullivan is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric and young adult neuropsychology. She has interests in multidisciplinary team assessments, learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities, as well as integrating speech/language, occupational therapy, and education assessment with neuropsychology.
Dr. Nancy Sullivan has worked at the Peninsula Children’s Center, UC Davis Medical Center, and The Hospital for Sick Children (London). Upon graduation, she worked as a psychologist providing psychological evaluations and treatments to the neurology patients on inpatient and outpatient units.
Along with her interest in NEAT, Dr. Nancy Sullivan is also a staff neuropsychologist at the Children's Health Council in Palo Alto.
Janet Rulifson is an educational specialist whose area of interest is in developmental, educational, and neuropsychological impacts for children with significant learning disabilities. She was formerly department head for educational assessment at Children’s Health Council.
Janet Rulifson is also an educational specialist in the HEAL Program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
